The Challenge
Changing infrastructure was a tough decision. With high traffic, active writers, and external partners depending on content delivery, any mistake could mean lost revenue and broken workflows. Still, performance and speed had to improve to keep up with demand.
The Results
Time to First Byte dropped from 1.3s to 0.3s, and LCP improved from 3.8s to 1.5s; turning a Core Web Vitals fail into a pass while serving over 1 million monthly visitors and up to 100 million requests.
Jumped from 0 to 25,033 Good URLs on mobile: a dramatic leap in performance. More than 20,000 of these were previously Poor URLs, now fully recovered for better SEO and smoother user experience.
Server response times improved significantly -dropping from 1500ms to 150ms- helping Googlebot crawl nearly 7 million pages more efficiently.
