WRXTrade.co.uk is the UK brand of Akcali Paint Group. Group has multiple websites with over 10M requests / month. Their previous infrastructure was running on Amazon AWS.

The Problem 

Despite a modern setup, WRX Trade unknowingly faced serious security and backup challenges. Their main site had been previously hacked without their awareness; along with their Turkish-language websites.  

Attackers had installed a plugin; it functioned as a backdoor, silently granting access without visibly breaking the site, making it one of the most dangerous types of hacker activity. Since the intrusion happened in the past and backup retention was limited to seven days, the plugin had already made its way into all available backups, leaving WRX Trade without any clean restore points.

The company’s growing global traffic was handled without proper security hardening or scalable resilience. 

The Transformation

Every component was reviewed, from backup retention policies to load balancing, system redundancy, and speed improvements.

Before

The site was experiencing a Time to First Byte (TTFB) of 1.7 seconds, leading to noticeable delays and a sluggish first impression for users.

After

After partnering with Globaliser, the website’s TTFB was optimized down to just 0.4 seconds. This improvement delivered a significantly faster, smoother experience from the very first byte; supporting better search engine performance.
